We are interested in seeing this last available puppy placed in a good home. He is the right age to bond with a new family.
That is why we have offered a $150 discount off his $900 price - making him only $750 if you pick him up here! Much as we
love him, we definitely do not need another male German Shepherd here!
Quax and Britte's Boy #2 (Black Collar)
is a well socialized, intelligent, confident and affectionate puppy. Like his siblings, he has had our time and attention
every day since his birth and the highlights of his day are when we play with him and he can follow us around the property
and in the house and kennels taking care of chores. He is very much a lap-puppy and very affectionate.
Because
he was born in the Winter, he spent his first 5 weeks exclusively in our house. He has had daily socialization since birth
and consequently he and his siblings are very people-oriented. We follow a practice of natural weaning, ....meaning that we
allow the puppies to nurse until they gradually and naturally stop at around 10 weeks. Our puppies get ample weeks of dog-socialization
and time interacting with their siblings and Mom. Unlike a lot of Breeders we keep our puppies at least 10-12 weeks or more
- we feel this time is essential for them to learn doggy-manners and learn how to interact with other dogs.
He is not in the least shy about strangers or new situations and has had ample opportunities to meet new people and situations
as prospective puppy adopters and others visited us the last few weeks. After an initial enthusiastic greeting, he is happy
just to hang out with us and follow us around the property. He definitely craves human attention as much or more than time
with our other dogs.
He is interested in new experiences and smells and not the least bit insecure.
He is a very confident puppy.
As much as he likes being with people, he also enjoys hanging out with the other
dogs here. So far, he has gotten along well with all the other dogs and even our cats. His Sire, Quax is an unusually calm,
confident and collected GSD and this puppy is showing signs of inheriting Quax's amazing temperament. He particularly
seems to enjoy hanging out with Quax outside....see the pictures of him with Quax which are typical.
Our Sire, Quax, is a very special German Shepherd Dog...he is the product of a hundred years of breeding in Germany
for physically -sound and very intelligent working dogs. We are very pleased with how level-headed, calm and collected he
is. His puppies are already showing the influence of his genes.
We think that puppies sired by Quax
will mature to be calmer temperament dogs, unlike some bloodlines of German Shepherd Dogs that are over-active and over- energetic
and require a lot more training and frankly can be too much of a hand-full for a family setting. Through the years, we have
owned high-pedigree and very-high energy German Shepherd Dogs which seem to produce puppies more suited to police and guard
work than family situations.
Like puppies his age, he needs and gets about 16 hours of sleep each
day. He has been crate-trained and settles down quickly in his crate and spends time in our home every day. Like all puppies,
he requires supervision and attention when not in his kennel or crate because he is curious and explores everything.
Altogether, this is a very special puppy which will mature into a very Special German Shepherd Dog.
